Description
Faraway is a quick, accessible card game set on the ever-changing continent of Alula, featuring an original and climactic reverse-scoring mechanism. Over the course of the game, players build a path by playing a row of eight Region cards, which feature characters that set end-game scoring objectives. The core strategic challenge lies in the scoring: players walk back their path, scoring cards in the opposite order they were played, meaning later-played cards are used to fulfill the conditions established by earlier ones. Furthermore, players must navigate a simultaneous drafting system with a priority rule, adding a layer of tactical decision-making to the quick, five-minute-to-teach gameplay.
